Spa407, Forest Resort’s boutique day spa offers true Ayurvedic treatments from the penthouse level of the hotel. Spa407 is the first stage in the development of our world class Health and Wellness Centre, which among other things will offer corporate packages to clients promoting healthy lifestyles. The centre will address issues such as stress management, nutrition, obesity and pro-active health care.
Forest Resort & the Environment
Vital to the resort development, was the integration of a long-term environmental protection philosophy, in addition to energy and water conservation policies is to keep our ‘footprint’ on the environment as minimal as possible. To ensure a long-term relationship with the environment that is both harmonious and sustainable, Forest Resort has applied innovative strategies and invested in state-of-the-art equipment. Our philosophy is to blend into the environment without disturbing it, and key to the project design is sensitivity to the environment. Stringent guidelines exist to protect native vegetation and the natural habitat of the land.
Forest Resort operates a privately owned water treatment plant to polish and recycle the resort’s bore, grey and black water. The plant desalinates the underground brackish quality bore water, polishes harvested storm water and treats waste water to a quality superior to class-A standard. To ensure the respectful prosperity of the land and indigenous culture, the Forest Resort project team forged a landmark agreement with the land’s traditional owners, Dja Dja Wurrung People. The Forest Resort acknowledges the Dja Dja Wurrung community as the traditional landowners and welcomes their partnership with Forest Resort.
